Breathers
Avoid getting moisture and dirt into an oil drum and your application. When oil is drawn off, air is sucked into the oil drum. Breathers remove dirt and water from the air before it gets into the oil drum. This prevents the contaminated air from contaminating the oil and prevents oxidation products from forming in the drum before the oil is even put into use.
The air in the drum is therefore both dry and clean and the oil retains its original excellent qualities and cleanliness. The service life of the oil and the application is thus considerably extended.
It’s even more important to protect the oil in the application. For example, gearboxes, that breath. You can use breathers to ensure that dirt and moisture remain outside.
Breathers require special advice, because there are various options and versions.Â
