Reliable lubrication for vital infrastructure

Reliable lubrication maintenance is crucial for the trouble-free opening and closing of bridges, locks, weirs and pumping stations. These hydraulic engineering structures are located in a damp and often wet environment, which has a direct impact on the performance of oils, greases and the lubrication system or maintenance team. Smart choices in lubricants and maintenance ensure that installations continue to run smoothly, downtime is kept to a minimum and the necessary maintenance can be carried out more efficiently and less frequently.

The equipment used in hydraulic engineering, such as excavators and cranes, also places high demands on lubrication. As with engineering structures, good lubrication maintenance is essential here to ensure reliability, safety and long-term asset performance. With over 90 years of experience, we are happy to contribute ideas.

No more disruptions thanks to smarter lubrication

For critical infrastructure, lubricants and lubrication systems must not only be resistant to (salt) water, but also to changing weather conditions, such as heavy rain showers, heat in summer and freezing temperatures in winter. In addition, the oils and greases must be resistant to heavy loads, adhere well to the running surfaces of bearings and (open) gears, and, where required, comply with relevant environmental requirements and EAL classifications, particularly in applications where incidental leakage cannot be completely excluded.

Finding the right balance between preventing wear, extending the service life of machines and components, and reducing costs while meeting operational and environmental requirements is a great lubrication challenge when it comes to infrastructure.

Who does what?

Regular grease lubrication or a major oil change project. The first can often be automated. Van Meeuwen seeks customised solutions that address your specific challenges. For oil changes, we can handle sampling and analysis, and if necessary, perform the oil change with a team of experienced professionals.

Hydraulic engineers

At Van Meeuwen, we understand the importance of the right lubrication for durability and performance in civil engineering. Our range of lubricants, therefore, meets the high standards required in this sector. Our EALs and specialised lubricants are suitable for hydraulic systems, gearboxes, bearings, steel cables and open gears.

We collaborate with renowned partners such as Shell PANOLIN, BIOMAX™ and LUBCON, and also supply our own Green Point® lubricants, developed with a focus on quality, reliability and applications where environmental requirements apply.

Smarter lubrication for long-term performance

We are seeing an increasing number of companies in the Infra sector actively taking steps towards emission-free operations and striving to climb the CO2 Performance Ladder. High-quality lubricants with extended service intervals and long service life can help reduce lubricant consumption and maintenance requirements.

By choosing high-quality lubricants with a longer service life and extended change intervals, organisations can improve equipment reliability, reduce maintenance requirements and optimise operating costs.
