Lubrication systems: efficient, reliable and accurate
From manual lubrication to an automatic lubrication system
In certain situations, it can be very useful to switch from manual lubrication to an automatic lubrication system. With industrial lubrication systems, you can be sure that the applications are lubricated with the right lubricant at the right time and with the correct amount. It is a lubrication technique that is (still) developing rapidly and often offers very interesting advantages as a customised solution.
Types of lubrication systems
There are various lubrication systems, each with its own operation and advantages. From the range available, we have selected six systems that are most commonly used in practice:
- Automatic central lubrication systems
- Centromatic lubrication systems
- Oil injection systems
- Progressive lubrication systems
- Single-line chain lubrication systems
- Lubrication systems for open gears and pinions
Avoid malfunctions with a central lubrication system
It may be that you can only lubricate a machine when it is shut down. But being shut down means not being able to produce, so that is often not an option. However, if you relocate or centralise lubrication points, or if you automate the lubrication process, the machine will be lubricated optimally and safely without having to shut it down.
Ultimately, you avoid malfunctions and achieve improved performance with a centralised (automatic) lubrication system, such as increased machine availability and productivity, greater operational reliability and a longer service life for your machinery. In addition, an oil lubrication system or grease lubrication system also reduces the amount of lubricants required, saving you money and helping to protect the environment.
The safety aspect of a lubrication system
Because the machine is now automatically lubricated during operation, this results in considerable time savings in maintenance hours. You also increase safety, because you don’t have to lubricate unsafe or hard-to-reach areas yourself as often.
Automatic lubrication systems prevent inadequate lubrication maintenance, which could have led to excessive friction and wear, accelerating undesirable machine damage, downtime, repair or replacement costs, and lower productivity.
Automatic lubrication systems
It is not only about requirements such as the safety of a lubrication system or accessibility, but also about regularity. If chains, bearings or gears need to be lubricated on a regular basis, an automatic lubrication system can also offer a smart solution.
Last but not least, it is important to use the right lubricant for the application. If you use the wrong lubricant, you can use automatic lubrication systems, but you will never achieve the desired result. You will also need to maintain the lubrication system periodically for best performance.
Questions about our automatic lubrication systems?
If you are interested in purchasing and installing a lubrication system, we will find a customised solution for you and build a system around a lubricant by putting together the right components.
We take into account that centralised lubrication systems are becoming increasingly intelligent and that innovations continue to follow each other in rapid succession. We are now at a stage where a lubrication system not only lubricates automatically, but also collects and shares information. This allows you to monitor the status of a machine and the lubricant via your laptop, tablet or telephone and make adjustments where necessary without having to be near the machine yourself.
