Introduction
We welcome you with coffee and tea. You will meet the trainer(s) and other participants and discuss learning objectives and expectations. This allows us to get the most out of this day for every participant in terms of “Smarter Lubrication”. Read the full programme below.
Basic knowledge of Tribology
Tribology: “The science and study of friction, wear and lubrication in surfaces moving relative to each other. Here, we take a closer look at issues such as the causes of equipment failure, why we lubricate, lubrication regimes, types of wear, the Stribeck Curve and the results that can be achieved with a well-thought-out lubrication plan using the correct lubricants.
In-depth knowledge of lubricants
Immerse yourself in the different types and compositions of lubricants, the properties of additives, the strength of the lubricating film, viscosity and consistency (NLGI), as well as the influence of cleanliness and moisture on service life, and the significance of product (safety) sheets and the miscibility of lubricants.
Applications
Select the appropriate lubricant for the specific application, whether it is oil or grease, and discover which solution works best for various applications, including bearing technology, gear lubrication, vacuum pumps, compressors, and more.
Condition monitoring
Learn how to use lubricant condition monitoring to determine when corrective action or replacement is needed. Discover the right methods for condition monitoring and gain insight into how to take an oil sample correctly and interpret an oil analysis report.
Environment, Risk & Safety
Learn how to lubricate (food) safely and hygienically, which biodegradable lubricants are suitable, and how to store and transport lubricants correctly. Discover the correct way to use a grease gun and understand the various types of grease nipples, as well as the importance of responsible disposal of used oil and maintaining a safe working environment.
Automatic Lubrication Systems
When are automatic lubrication systems the best choice? Discover the main advantages and disadvantages of various types, and explore practical examples from industry.
Lubrication Schedule
Discover how an effective lubrication schedule enhances the service life of machinery and streamlines maintenance. Discover how digital tools, such as the S)MAXX app, support the planning, monitoring and recording of lubrication tasks. Understand how a flexible lubrication schedule adapts to changes, such as the installation of new machines, the replacement of lubricants and varying operating hours.
Final Test & Evaluation
We will test your knowledge immediately with a multiple-choice questionnaire. After a brief summary and an opportunity to ask questions, you will receive your certificate of participation.
