The Black Point brand was the first private label introduced by Han van Meeuwen in the 1950s. Initially focused on the automotive sector, the portfolio now consists of mineral and synthetic products that complement our partners’ product lines and can also compete in various areas with the product lines of the major players.
Our Black Point® product line consists of mineral and synthetic lubricants for conventional applications such as hydraulic systems and drives. This range also includes slideway oils, engine oils, drilling and cutting oils, heat transfer oils and degreasers.
Black Point
Degreaser
- Is a cold degreaser based on aliphatic solvents
- Particularly suitable for cold cleaning of machine parts, reconditioned parts, machines and intermediate cleaning of
objects that have undergone machining. - Usually used in cleaning machines, cleaning tables or immersion tanks, but can of course also be applied using brushes,
cloths or sprayers
Properties
- Composed of aliphatic hydrocarbons with a particularly low aromatic content (< 0.1%), it can therefore be safely processed in
most situations. - The grease and oil dissolving power of Black Point Degreaser is unquestionably impressive.
- Cleans quickly and easily
- Evaporates slowly – components require some drying time. Faster drying times can be achieved by drying the components at a temperature below 50°C.
- Skin-friendly and does not affect hardened lacquers.
Black Point
Wire Rope Lubricant
- Composed of solid lubricants, a water repellent and anti-corrosion additives.
- Lubricant for the maintenance of wire ropes
- It provides the interior of wire ropes with a new lubricating film once the factory-applied grease has been used up.
- The main application is in hoisting equipment and hoisting devices.
- Cranes, draglines and hoisting equipment
- Marine: tow cables, crane cables and winches
- Apply directly to wet cables when necessary
- A special product has been developed for wire ropes located underwater: Black Point Wire Rope and Gear Compound.
- Mineral base oil
- ISO VG 15 – after evaporation of the solvent ISO VG 320 – 460
- Operating temperature range: -46 to +60°C
Properties
- High lubricating film strength, preventing wear
- Excellent adhesion – lower consumption
- Displaces water – suitable for use on wet ropes
- Penetrates – the inner strands of the rope are lubricated and protected; Significantly extends the service life of the rope
- Highly water-resistant – difficult to wash off with fresh or salt water
- Can be used within a wide temperature range – suitable for all seasons
- Forms a dry lubricating film, preventing sand, dust and other dirt from sticking
- Transparent appearance – the wire rope remains visible, making inspection easy
