ePrevent oil analyses
Prevent downtime and reduce maintenance costs
By having your lubricating and hydraulic oil analysed regularly, you gain a better insight into the health of your machines. This allows you to detect wear or contamination in good time and plan maintenance intelligently, without unnecessary downtime. That means lower costs, a longer service life for your oil and machines, and greater certainty in your daily operations. Our ePrevent oil and grease analyses help you with clear insights and practical advice.
What are the benefits?
- Increased machine availability
- Significantly lower maintenance costs
- Only carry out maintenance on the machines when the oil analyses indicate that this is necessary.
- Changing lubricants at precisely the right time, definitely not too late, but also not unnecessarily early.
- Getting to know your machines by establishing a maintenance trend through oil analyses
- Anticipate maintenance requirements based on trends and adjust planning accordingly
- Preventing undesired downtime
- Effectively increasing machine availability and production output
We now have techniques that allow us to live monitor the condition of oil for machines using oil analyses via sensors. Since this is certainly not possible for every application, we also work extensively with manual sampling at smart intervals.
Have oil samples checked with ePrevent
With an ePrevent package, you can take six oil samples and have their quality checked. You can follow the results of an oil analysis for a machine directly on your computer, smartphone or tablet via your own portal on our website.
The more frequently and carefully you take oil samples and have them checked with ePrevent, the more reliable the values for the condition of the oil will be. And the more apparent the trend over time and the reasons for changing or not changing the oil will be.
Oil sampling step-by-step plan
The step-by-step plan for oil sampling is as follows: After taking the oil samples, send them by post to an independent laboratory that will analyse them for us. These oil analyses for machines will help you build a valuable database to plan maintenance in a targeted and efficient manner, ensuring you lubricate or change the oil at the right time. Definitely not too early and definitely not too late.
Performing maintenance on machines only when oil analyses indicate that it is necessary offers attractive benefits. You save costs, time and oil waste by not changing the oil unnecessarily when it is still in good condition. By lubricating or changing the oil at the right time, you prevent unwanted downtime and improve machine availability, performance and productivity. Grease sampling step-by-step plan
It is often the case that a lubricating grease in the work area has a completely different composition than just outside it. This makes taking a representative grease sample difficult, but our ePrevent Grease Sample kit is the solution. A step-by-step plan also applies to this method of grease sampling:
The ePrevent Grease Sample Kit contains a set of tools that you can use to collect the grease in a sample container. You send this container to the laboratory in a special shipping tube. You will receive the analysis reports and recommendations by email and you can also find them by logging in to the Van Meeuwen portal. For a reliable result, it is important to follow these steps in order:
Please follow these steps
- First, ensure that the spatula you use to scrape the grease from the application is completely clean and free of grease.
- Remove the plunger from the syringe and scrape the grease evenly from the application with the spatula.
- Fill the syringe with as much representative grease as possible and replace the plunger in the syringe.
- Take the sample container, remove the cap and place the syringe into the opening of the sample container.
- Fill the sample container with the contents of the syringe.
- Place the cap back on the sample container
Monitoring oil via sensors
The emergence of sensors offers increasingly beneficial opportunities to continuously monitor the condition of oil online. When sensors detect a change in the condition of oil, you can take a targeted oil sample for more in-depth analysis. Sensors often require a customised solution, so thorough research in preparation is important to achieve the desired performance and benefits.
