For critical infrastructure, lubricants and lubrication systems must not only be resistant to (salt) water, but also to changing weather conditions, such as heavy rain showers, heat in summer and freezing temperatures in winter. In addition, the oils and greases must be resistant to heavy loads, adhere well to the running surfaces of bearings and (open) gears, and preferably be biodegradable \u2013 especially in areas where there is a risk of environmental pollution.<\/p>

To illustrate: one litre of oil can be responsible for polluting one million litres of water. Finding the right balance between preventing wear, extending the service life of machines and components, and saving costs and protecting the environment is a great lubrication challenge when it comes to infrastructure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
